Hi guys so I am asking for a friend , he used his metal pipe quite a lot and he has this sort of circular chimney sweeper sort of Mini-brush-thing which he used to clean his pipe. It was white when he started and by the end when he was done it was fully coated in black/brown resin and hardened so he kept it and he put it inside a vial with water and alcohol, shakes it and he was left with one part dirty water one part soapy like mixture. so this mixture kind of does look like oil even though it smells a bit floral , the water doesn’t doesn’t have much smell other than chemical so what should be the way to make something out of the resin and in fact what are these two by products and what can be done with them ? Are they basically trash.
PS: he tried basically cooking it like it was a rock but it didn’t work when he tried to smoke it and he did it with just water until it evaporates but the spoon wasn’t clean so probably got a little bit of baking soda in it and it also didn’t work
Ps2: is it something to do with acetone ?
