How to incorporate a separate .txt file?

I'm new to C and am trying to figure stuff out with the internet, and I'm stuck.
I'm trying to take "hello world" a step further. Instead out typing the text I want displayed directly into the program, I want to display the text of a .txt file (in the same directory as the program). So the result is essentially the same by just producing text, but I want the text to come from another file rather than inside the program.
How can I do this?
