Terrible muscle pain and burning skin sensation
Post Body

Hello to you all

I am about to hit the 2 year mark and got better with time, but Iā€™m not of the woods yet. I still have this ā€œmuscle painā€ from head to toes that never stops. I've had it 24/7 for months now. It is the same kind of pain one would experience after a long day of physical labor, but much worse. I also have constant headaches and burning skin sensation. Any of you have the same symptoms? Any idea what I can do about it? I saw a rheumatologist and have some tests coming up, but Iā€™m keeping my expectations rather low since no tests have been conclusive so far. (and I have done many)

Thanks very much in advance for your input. :-)

I have the burning skin! Itā€™s been almost three years. Itā€™s awful, canā€™t walk sometimes or dress myself. Nothing has helped massively unfortunately, tried low histamine diet and took tons of anti histamines which didnā€™t really help. Amitryptaline helped for a bit but then effects tapered off. Keep me updated and good luck

ditto with secondary infections making it worse. Definitely worse when I have a cold or infection.

I found amitryptaline to be helpful but sadly the effects tapered off over time. Definitely look into a low dose for a few months to see how it helps. Made me VERY sleepy though, bit of a trade off

I did 3-4 months and it had stopped working by the end so came off. Then after another year of trying different things, came back to Amitryptaline and doubled the dose, this worked for maybe 3 months again but pain rose steadily
