Breaking Out In Hives Suddenly.

Post Body

Hello everyone,

My doctors are convinced I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or a variant of it, due to long covid. I had covid last year in May, and I have not recovered fully since. I've been tired, low energy, my lungs (which were already weak from being born so premature) have not recovered, to the point where I carry around my inhalers everywhere i go. (Admittedly, I should have done that before covid, but I never considered it.) I thought that was the only thing I had from Long Covid, but I was wrong.

But, on Jan 28th, I woke up to my back covered in hives, like I had an allergic reaction to something. I got my covid booster two weeks earlier, Moderna. I hadn't had reactions like that to Moderna before, most I had was some fatigue. I knew i hadn't changed anything, I hadn't eaten anything I'm not used to, checked for bedbugs, I've checked off everything I could think of. Everyday since then, I have been battling breakouts all over my body. Its horrible, I have been covering myself in aloe and calamine lotion, but they do not do much. I called my doctor, they told me to take allergy meds, which I have been doing ever since I first broke out, so I feel very frustrated. Planning to make an appointment for this week, but I honestly don't know what they will do for me, aside from giving me allergy meds. I can provide a picture of the hives if anyone is curious.

Is anyone else going through this? What has helped you? I'm a 21 year old college student and long covid has made my life hell.
