Hey everyone, as the title says I’m primarily am a metalhead, but do occasionally dab into bluegrass, jazz, and other genres as well.
However, I’ve been really wanting to get into country more often, more specifically (sorry if I mis-phrase this) what I consider backroads/roots county such as Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Tennessee Ernie Ford, and John Denver. I know those are legendary names that pretty much every one knows, but that’s the only thing I can go off of.
I know there are, or, must be modern artists like these greats, but it is a real pain to try and dig for them deep under all of the pop stuff coming out nowadays. I’m not knocking anyone that likes it, but it’s just not the style I’m into nor looking for.
I would greatly appreciate any recommendations to check out and listen to.
Thank You.
