I've been having seemingly random ping spikes when playing CSGO. This is the only game it happens in. I know it has nothing to do with what other people in my house are doing, because they can be streaming and using tons of bandwidth and it's not problem, but I still jump up to about 400 at least once per match, then it slowly goes back down. (It often happens more than once per match)
I've been getting annoyed, but I just lost a competitive match because of it and that was the last straw. We were losing 16-14 and it was down to a 1v1, with me and someone on their team with a P90. I was camping the corner by the forklift at A site on Cache. I saw him come around the corner, start shooting, then all of a sudden he's 30 feet to the left and I'm dead. I go to check my ping and see that it's 550.
I looked around online and it seems to me like I'm not the only one with this problem, but nobody's posted any ways to fix it. It's not something that can be fixed with acceptable ping, because I normally get about 30-50, it's the spikes that get me.
Has anyone had this problem before? Is there any known way to fix it?
