Hey fellow couchsurfers, I will be doing a solo travelling trip to Manila this Wednesday (20th June). I will be staying in Malate.
Duration of travel: About 10 days
Budget: Pretty tight since I don't want to break the bank
Interests: Meeting fellow locals and travelers to socialize and expand my network. Exploring local places that are publicized by the media. Getting involved in parties and events.
Any tips on meeting fellow couchsurfers?
*If any of you guys are travelling to Manila around the 20th of June or the following days or leaving there, let me know if you are open to meet up and hang out. Cheers!
Sounds good man. Definetely would like to chill. How far is Poblacion from Malate?
Thanks man.
Oh alright 👍 Most probably, I will be using Grab to travel around Manila
I appreciate your advice man 👊
Planning to stay in Malate as it is convenient for my gf to come over since she lives away from Manila which is in the North.
I wanted to book an AirBnB but I am pretty cynical as I want to take my gf over without paying extra fee and the owners will be in the house. So, I am still deciding on that though I booked a hotel already.
Will try out the Hangouts app to meet up with some people around Manila. But, I am not sure what is the exact application you are referring to
I am planning to explore places where I can get food for an affordable price. Also, budget shopping as I am on a pretty tight budget. I heard Greenhill Shopping Center has pretty affordable items there.
How far is Makati from Malate?
Let me know if you are still living in Manila
Thanks for the suggestions man 👊

I will take note of all these. I have heard that it densely populated in the public transit and it's hard to maneuver around the station. But, I will ask around when travelling around the stations
