Hey guys,
I used to be very active on CS before the pandemic. As the many other posts asking "is it still any good after the paywall" - I saw that now there's noticeably less activity all around. I'm planning on going to Aus & NZ this month by myself, and would love to meet local and experience their culture as I did in the past. I was wondering though - are there many users active in these countries? Or would I be better off using my time just looking up AirBnBs or hotels?
Thanks!
Couchsurfing is very active in Australia and NZ - have hosted over 10 surfers this summer in Sydney and getting 10-20 requests a week, It's pretty much back to how it was before 2020 with the difference that there is less alternative accommodation available in many parts of australia due to hostels closing etc.
