Been curious lately. How much mass in a given volume is needed to produce a gravitational field that negates the expansion of space due to a gravitational field?
I know enough to set up the basics of this question, and given the right numbers I could probably get a 3D graph that puts volume vs gravitation due to mass vs the rate of space expansion due to Dark Energy. Maybe that's not the right set up, but overall I'm just curious. At most this would be used in a tabletop roleplaying game to determine how difficult it'd be for a character to develop a gravity or dark energy weapon.
Let me know if I'm thinking about this the wrong way or of there is an answer, I haven't seen it before! Thanks!
