Hey there people. I used to watch Corrie back in the day, probably 20 years ago or so now, but I recently moved in with my girlfriend and wanna try picking it up again.
Seeing as I live in Australia, the only legitimate way for me to do that is to watch the oldest episodes that 7plus has (sadly beginning of 2022, I believe).
Everyone is new in the show, there's people I don't know, and the writing seems dreadful compared to what I remembered.
I remember the old days with Mike, Deidre, Norris, Roy and Hailey etc, the drama was tense and the comedy was always on point.
I wanted to know if I should continue or take a running leap into current Eastenders (a show I've never watched before!)
I adore gritty English drama (my favourite director is Shane Meadows), and Corrie seems to have lost any of that drama and grittiness.
