I am 16 and just finished Blood Meridian. I found it to be an extremely interesting, but almost senseless novel. Within The Road and NCFOM, themes can be found immediately. With Blood Meridian, you have to put down the book and really think hard about what you just read. After every one of the Judge’s monologues I had to put my book down and just think. I loved that about the book. The Kid is the same age as me, so I thought maybe I would be able to relate to him a bit. Nope. I thought of Blood Meridian as almost what can happen to a person and a group of people if actions are unchecked. When people such as John Glanton are not held responsible and questioned, then others will follow. Thanks.
