Back in January I read Blood Meridian and fell in love with McCarthy’s writing. I worked my way through all his novels and just finished Stella Maris the other night. Now I feel like it’s so hard to pick anything else up by other authors. I wanna dive more into Toni Morrison and William Faulkner and a few others but in the past 24 hours I’ve made it 20 pages into a few other books before I put em down, wishing to just be reading McCarthy again. Anyone else have that issue and what non-McCarthy books scratched that itch? I do plan on re-reading his books.
Also in case anyone’s curious because I know I was during my reading journey, this was the order I read his novels. 1. Blood Meridian 2. All the Pretty Horses 3. The Crossing 4. Cities of the Plain 5. No Country For Old Men 6. The Road 7. Child of God 8. Outer Dark 9. The Orchard Keeper 10. Suttree 11. The Passenger 12. Stella Maris
