We are about to adopt this adorable chonk monster as our first Corgi. She's 3 years old and a rescued breeder release from a puppy mill.
As we consider planning for her future and anticipating her health needs, we've noticed that she appears to be longer than most corgis we see.
We know to anticipate potential back issues either way, but I just wondered if she looks extra long to anyone else.
We know we need to get her weight down but once she is down in weight, I suspect she's going to look a bit more like a dachshund in length.
Anyone else think she's a footlong vs a 6 inch, or does she look like she's about the right length for a Corgi?
We don't have a name yet. If one happens to stick out, we're happy to take suggestions!
Maple would be such a cute name for her. Try to have her use stairs on and off the couches and bed to help prevent back issues. She looks like she’s the right length for a corgi. She’s adorable!
