Looking for streaming device recommendations

Hello all, I’m looking for a streaming device to hook up to my TV. I basically just want to watch YouTube, Netflix, HBO Max, etc. I’d prefer if I could get an something to avoid advertisements for YouTube on the device.
I’ve heard the Nvidia shield and Apple TV are both good, alongside some others. Please let me know if you have any recommendations. Thanks in advance!
