How can I convert my old iPhone 3G into something useful with a TV out cable?

Got an old iPhone 3G just taking up space on my desk and I want to use it on a TV that doesn't currently have any kind of media box attached. Willing to jailbreak or install any app, anything to turn it into a useful device. So far I've already determined that I can't run Hulu or Netflix out unjailbroken, so if there's a method to do that, would love to know it.
