In the Washington DC market I scan with my ATSC 3.0 LG TV at least twelve Next-gen channels but none of them seem to carry any content. About a year or so ago we had 5 or 6 Nextgen channels but only one (the Howard University channel) had content, clearly just testing things out, but now nothing. I asked the major broadcasters WTF and they said only WHUT was trying things out but since then no one seems to be doing any Next-gen broadcasting. Now I come to find out many cities are in fact broadcasting over ATSC 3.0 as well as standard stuff. I really don't understand WTF. Do I need a special antenna? I can't see why since the RF broadcasting is analog and the TV does the digital decoding. Is anyone in the DC area able to get Nextgen content?
