If I uninstall and reinstall the game, will my saved progress be deleted?

I can’t play at all. Every time I load the game it crashes. I want to try uninstalling and reinstalling the game but I’m afraid all my progress on my only save will be deleted and I will not be able to recover it. Anyone who has tried it before? I bought the game on Steam.
