A local advertising agency has had a copywriting position open for a few months now. It's the opening that reminded me of copywriting.
Now, I have zero experience. No portfolio. I've read books and taken courses. I have an ok basic grasp on the field. But I have no real practice.
I'm thinking of doing something crazy. Attempt to write a convincing cover letter, be totally transparent, to go along with my resume.
My gut says to shoot my shot. Not many agencies in my town and I'd prefer to get on one over freelancing.
