I - as a 'Maybelline foundation colourscheme 'Light Beige' ('True Ivory' is actually slightly lighter!) Anglo-Saxon Protestant - totally totally concur with you about that ! Your "white saviour" is an excellent appellation for it - I'm going to start using it! Every person I know who is one of those the BML-&-all-that purport to represent would just be mortified-embarrassed if I started doing any of that BML kneeling malarky, or anything like that ... or if I started saying "I've got all John Coltranes records! - & I really appreciate them! ... honest!", or anything cringey like that.
