What motivates arguing with a bot?
Does he think it's funny to argue pedantically with lines of code? Did he just flub the delivery and execution of his joke?
Does he think the bot creator actually reads the replies for his bot? Does he think the bot creator will take into account his thoughtful review, written with care, regarding the function of HaikuBot? Does he think the creator will update HaikuBot's script, making it better able to choose haiku-worthy sentences?
Is he legitimately angry? Does he think the bot cares? Why does this matter to him? Why do poorly constructed haikus matter to him? Is he so invested in Japanese poetry forms that the abuse of haikus is enough to anger him?
Our nation is in crisis. Opiate abuse consumes Appalachia and beyond. The middle class is dying. Our leader is incomprehensibly reactive and seemingly unstable. Syria is burning, its nationals scattered and afraid. Miami will drown if it is hit with a hurricane. Weather is becoming more extreme, and lifeforms worldwide are dying, unable to adapt. Island nations will not live through the sea rise. The wealthy isolate and consolidate power to themselves. A bot on reddit makes subpar haikus. The sky turns green with a boiling potential. In the faroff distance, sirens. We truly live in troubled times.
