How the fuck is Bill still seen as a cool dude, what is wrong with you people? His administration was rightwing. The Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act destroyed so many impoverished families and Riegle-Neal enriched so many of the already-ultra-wealthy. He had a chance to veto the 100-to-1 sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine, and he didn’t, he gleefully fed thousands of impoverished minorities into the prison industrial complex, and he kept them there for a LONG fucking time. His allegiances were with the rich, against the poor, practically speaking he was a Republican. If he did smoke a joint with Willie Nelson while endorsing laws that tore black families apart for the exact same behavior, do you not understand how ghoulish that is? Why would you want to believe that, why does that tickle your imagination? How on earth are people STILL buying the blatant lie that he was a rascally pothead, and not a ghoul on the same level as any of the other fucking ghouls in American politics who we’ve all agreed to hate?
