I'm sick of hearing about cops either turning off their body cams or "losing" the video after the fact.
From my initial research, it seems like body cams are made with the interests of the police in mind, not the citizenry.
If there was an organization that developed an open source, tamperproof, live-streaming, always-on body cam, as well as a cloud service to store the video, would it change anything? Would the police department just choose to use the easily-fooled cameras?
I am not an expert in this space, but clearly it looks like modern technology can solve this problem, and that's something I can help with. If you guys could fill me in, I'd greatly appreciate it.
