This might be a shot in the dark, but here goes.
I've recently become interested in furniture design and construction, and would love to start trying to build some stuff on my own. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to purchase lumber/wood of a decent quality? I have been to Silvan and Jem & Fix, but they only seem to have fairly basic/not very good quality lumber.
The other thing I am looking for is somewhere I could go to work on a project like this. For example, a workshop or makerspace that would be open to the public with access to tools. May apartment is rather small, and I only have some basic hand tools, though I'm perfectly happy to begin with just these if need be.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you guys might have!
