I'm going to be visiting Copenhagen this Wednesday until Monday. A friend of mine that lives in Aarhus has mentioned the unfortunate events that happened in August to me in Christiania.
Christiania has always been a place that I wanted to visit. Not because I wanna buy weed on the street freely. I'm too old for that shit. I am genuinely curious about the culture and history there. I wanna meet the residents and ask about their lifestyle. I wanna see the famous graffitis. I wanna see the famously quirky architecture.
So my question is this: Is it even worth visiting Christiania these days after the events in August? Does it still have the "free spirit" vibe? Most importantly, is it safe to roam around, especially if you're not interested in buying weed?
