Hey everyone,
So as the title states it's finally time to upgrade the cookware in our kitchen. We've had the same set of cheap pots and pans that my wife has used since college and they are on their last legs. Our budget is about $600 (lower is of course preferred). I've narrowed it down to a couple of different sets and I'm wondering if anyone here has an opinion on one vs the others:
This Cuisinart set gets consistently high reviews and dwells at an excellent price point. That is a concern as well though as I'm honestly trying to purchase my final set of cookware. I want something that will last as close to forever (with proper care of course) as possible. Thoughts? Experiences?
This set made by Anolon peaked my interest as well. It subs in an extra sauce pot for the steamer basket found in the Cuisinart which would be more useful for us I believe. And a steamer can be purchased separately for ~$30. While the price is higher, if the quality is significantly better I'd be willing to pay the premium.
I've read to also consider Calphalon, Made In, and All Clad. Made In is quite significantly above our price range, as is All Clad. I'm interested in Calphalon but they are also on the pricier side. Once again I'd consider it if the quality is there.
Any and all help/experiences with any of this is appreciated. I'll be adding 2 non stick skillets to whatever I buy and already own a 12" cast iron skillet. So please, let me know what you think!
