“Expired” horseradish

Post Body
Hi. I was planning on using my jar of horseradish but it’s from 2017 and still sealed with its tamper still activated and vacuum seal in the jar. A) can I safely use this jar? And B) can I add this to mashed potatoes safely?
A side question. If the horseradish is bad, can I substitute the horseradish for Helmann’s garlic sauce?
EDIT: solved. As someone asked for a recipe
1 serving of instant or boiled potatoes 1-2 tablespoons of helmanns’ garlic sauce or horseradish product.
Mix/fold and serve.
