Second playthrough

So I've played the game once and loved it. I had never heard of it before and by the end I was entranced by the game, the characters and the universe. It's one of the games I genuinely want to do a second playthrough. (partly just for the full ashtray maze run again). My first playthrough I mostly did main missions and a few side parts. Is there anything I should definitely do for my next playthrough? Aren't there gold mods somewhere? Any ideas would be awesome!
