Miscolored? or just a part of the game?

So, i've recently started playing control on my pc and every now and then ill stumble apon rooms that I guess you could say are "miscolored" most of the time area's leading to the room are this shiny blue and then the room itself is pitch black with glowing white. Is this a part of the game or is my rig tweakin?
