It had been all over the news. Cold case solved after five years: victims’ son turns out to be the culprit. That’s me, if you were wondering. The son. Five years ago, just after I’d turned 16, there was a break in that had ended with the deaths of my mother and father. My aunt and uncle, my only leaving relatives, graciously took me in but… well, things weren’t what they seemed. Fast forward to just a few days ago when the police arrive at my apartment, claiming that they now have sufficient proof to connect me to my parents murder.

I try to tell them it was impossible, that I hadn’t even been home at the time of the break in. But apparently there’s a recording. One that apparently has me confessing to the crime that the police had been given by my uncle. The trial was pretty open and shut and after just two days, I was sentenced to life without parole at a maximum security prison. That’s where I am now, being escorted down a long halfway full of cells, being catcalled by the occupants due to my short stature and admittedly more delicate features. Even the guard doesn’t hesitate to grab my ass before pushing me into my cell where you, my new roommate await.

Unbeknownst to me, there’s a plan in the works. A plan that you’d be willing to let me in on… for a price.
