Did these come from behind my eye?

I woke up this morning and I do remember taking out my contacts my contacts are in THEIR CASE!! This is the only pair as it’s a trial because I need to get a contact exam. My contacts are in their case I confirm but I have no clue where these contacts have come from. It is extremely possible that I rubbed my eyes this morning or something but is that even possible TLDR: took out contacts mystery contacts appear in sink while contacts are still in case.
