I. Evidence of spying in the US involving Israel, pre 9/11:

1. Jonathan Pollard:

2. Jonathon Pollard was an analyst who worked for the US government and was sentenced to life in prison in 1987 for selling classified information to Israel. Pollard would eventually be released in 2015. During Pollards imprisonment Israel lobbied in his favor several times and granted him citizenship in 1995. Pollard would meet Aviem Sella shortly after beginning his job at nic/tf-168 and told Sella about specific intelligence withholdings against Israel. Sella, an on-leave colonel, phoned his commander in Tel-Aviv and was told to determine if Pollard was indeed a spy or a mole trying to root out foreign intelligence operations. Pollard soon started selling classified information to Sella and was compensated $10,000, diamonds, sapphires, and eventually a $2500 monthly salary.

3. The exact intelligence Pollard is said to have turned over has never been fully revealed, however, Israel has said that their relationship with Pollard did more harm for their relations with the US than his classified information revealed to Israel. This was said by former deputy head of Mossad Ram Ben Barak after Pollard's release.

4. "Mr. X and the X Committee:" At the time of Pollard's arrest it was known that the analyst had a handler, who must have been someone much higher up in the intelligence community, this individual became known as "Mr. X." It was further revealed in 1986, by EIR, of an entire "X Committee," that was made up of at least a dozen high ranking Pentagon and National Security officials, all assumed to be part of the Pollard spy ring.

5. Mega:

"This is not something we use Mega for." 1. Mega has been shrouded in secrecy and has been referred to as a single agent, a group of agents, groups of unrelated agents, and as the spy boss. Mega prompted the frantic hunt by the FBI, the CIA, and the NSA to find this supposed Israeli spy that was operating in the US government at high levels and embedded in the Clinton Admin. 2 Intercepted phone call: 1/1997: the NSA intercepts a phone conversation between an Israeli official at the embassy in Washington and Danny Yatom, the then head of Mossad. The official wanted permission to go to Mega, in order to procure a copy of a letter sent by then US Secretary of State Warren Christopher to Palestinian Authority President Yasser Arafat. This letter allegedly contained US assurances about an agreement for Israeli forces to withdraw from the Hebron area in West Bank. Yatom denies this request and replies "this is not something we use Mega for."

Mega Suspects?

1. Fuerth, Leon:

2. A name that is in close relation with Mega is, Leon Fuerth, VP Gore's national security advisor. He is also a supporter of the Likud ("National Liberal Movement" - center/right, right-wing political party in Israel).

3. 1998 profile of Fuerth: Reports he has been under suspicion by US intelligence of delivering sensitive US policy information to Israeli PM Netanyahu (of the Likud).

4. Indyk, Martin:

5. Martin Indyk was a US Ambassador who in 9/2000 had his security clearances temporarily lifted. This prompts a team of CIA counterrorist agents to arrive in Israel. Indyk had broken security guidelines when he bought classified documents to his Tel Aviv home. It's later revealed that the CIA team is actually there in response to a 8/2000 meeting between Indyk and then Mossad head Halvey. Indyk never reported this meeting back to the US.

6. Late 1970s: Interestingly enough, Indyk, former director of current Mideast intelligence at the Australian Office of National Assessments (Au intelligence), abruptly left this position, promoting speculating he had come under speculation by Australia as being an Israeli spy (Indyk had formerly lived in Israel). Indyk would next be located in Israel, working as a media consultant to Israel Likud PMs Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir.

7. 1982: From here Indyk finally makes his way to the US. Indyk did some work with Cornell U. Before working his way into the Clinton Admin. In 1993 on the Clinton Administrations National Security Council staff as Senior Director of Near East and South Asian Affairs (Indyk had informally been George HWs Mideast advisor).

8. Richard Clarke, the counterrorism "czar":

9. Clarke was also considered as Mega. Clarke was fired from his position within the State Department after being accused by the State Departments Inspector General of concealing Israeli-China arms deals. Clarke is hired by the Bush NSC in 1992.

Mega issue dropped. But why?:

1. Gordon Thomas 1999 assertion - that Israel had blackmailed the Clinton Admin. With recorded phone calls between the President and Monica Lewinsky. Lewinsky testified that on 3/29/1997 (height of the Mega hunt) , President Clinton told her he believed the WH telephones were being tapped by agents of an unknown government (previously stated in post #3, Amdocs, Ltd. {Israeli co.} Did an overhaul of the WH's telecommunications sy.). In May of 1997 according to a Washington Post article the Mega hunt was stopped and the issue was dropped, within weeks the story was completely absent from the news.

The Mega Group:

1. Could it be that Mega wasn't a single spy, but rather a group?

"Titans Of Industry Join Forces To Work For Jewish Philanthropy": An article written by Lisa Miller reported on the gathering of 20 Jewish billions at the residence of Michael Steinhardt. According to the report the Mega Group was formed in 1991 by Wexler and Charles Bronfman to increase Israeli lobbying power. They could also deploy billions to effect US policy in Israel's favor. The group meets twice a year, for two day sessions behind closed doors. The meetings are extremely private, invite only, and encompass $30000 in annual fees. 3/13/2001: a dispatch by the Jewish Telegraph Agency reveals the Mega Group as more than a group of billionaires. The dispatch reported newly appointed Israeli PM Ariel Sharon was set to launch a two pronged propaganda attack aimed at winning American support for his plans to overturn the Mideast peace processes. 1. The Israeli government "spin" within the US media and US policymakers was to be controlled by two US public relations firm; a. Rubenstein Associates and b. Morris, Carrick, and Guma. 2. The formation of a new think tank by a handful of Jewish mega-donors. The goal of this think tank was to come up with long term strategies aimed at presenting Israel in a positive light. The think tank is named Emet (Hebrew for "truth").

1. The Emet Think Tank:

2. The Emet Think Tank was formed collective between three shots in the Mega Group; a. Leonard Abramson b. Edgar Bronfman c. Michael Steinhardt.

3. The group received $7 million from The Mega Group and $1 million from the Israeli Foreign Ministry as a start up.

4. Emet consulted with prominent Jewish activists including Hoelien and Foxman. It was consultation with these activists that Emet would contact the Foreign Ministry.

5. Emet received criticisms in Israel from various sectors. Israel generally believed any money should be funneled back to the Ministry and that American Jews were infringing on their turf. Israel was also worried Emet would push a hard-line approach to the peace processes.

6. Support from the Organization of America president Morton Klein would however, ensure that Emet would push Sharon's war line.

7. Klein would later lead a delegation a WH meeting and threatened to cut off support if President Bush attempted to interfer with Sharon's war plans.

8. Media Monitors Network - Israel Shamir

9. 5/5/2001: Media Monitors Network publishes an article written by Israel Shamir that details the Mega Group meeting that occured the previous day.

10. Shamir surmizes the Mega Group heavily influenced politics in the Middle East.

Ii. The Carl Cameron Reports:

1. The 2001 Carl Cameron Reports:

2. Carl Cameron (chief Washington correspondent at Fox News) brought Israeli intelligence activities to the US's attention in mid 12/2001 with a series (4 parts) of reports presented on Fox News. Cameron stated he had received detailed information from Washington sources. These details included;

   1. That 60 Israelis we're being detained by the US.
   2. That as many as 140 Israelis had been arrested (including many before 9/11).
   3. Those arrested stated they worked in military intelligence, electronic surveillance intercept, and explosive ordanace units.

3. Cameron stated in his reports that there was no indication Israel was involved with 9/11 but that they may have gathered intelligence about the attacks.

4. One source would claim that were in fact tie-ins but they were classified and could not be commented on.

5. An Israeli spokesman said the suggestion of Israeli spying on the US was not true.

6. Also included in the report:

7. The mention of the Israeli "art student" spy ring (mentioned in post #3).

8. The report revealed the arrest of dozens of Israelis working kiosks at malls where they were selling toys called "puzzlecar" and "zoomcopter."

9. Most of these vendors ceased their operations after word of the arrests became common knowledge.

10. "Country A.":

11. In a report obtained by Cameron from the General Accounting Office referred to Israel as Country A.

12. "According to a US intelligence agency, the government of Country A conducts the most aggressive espionage operation against the US of any US ally."

13. "[Israel] aggressively collects military and industrial technology and the US is a high priority target."

14. "Israel posseses the resources and technical capability to achieve it's collection objectives."

15. Cameron and Fox News spearheaded by CAMERA, ADL, and the American Israel Public Affairs Comm. - report removed:

16. CAMERA = Committee for Accuracy in Middle East Reporting in America. A pro-Israeli lobby group.

17. ADL = Anti-Defamation League.

18. The American Israel Public Affairs Committee is at this time involved in a spy scandal connected to the Defense Department and the Israeli Embassy.

19. Cameron would receive at least 700 near identical emails, while another email bombardment would crash the Fox servers.

20. Abraham Foxman (ADL Pres.) Would meet with Fox execs. And the two would come to an agreement to stay out of each other's faces. The emails would stop and Fox removes the story.

21. Within four days of Cameron's four part report the transcripts were deleted and replaced with a message that read "this story no longer exists."

Other: 1. 1954: US Ambassador in Tel Aviv finds microphone in his room. 2. 1956: Military attache finds telephone taps in residence. 3. 1960s: 200lbs. Of Uranium are smuggled from US company that supplied the DOD.
