I live in Hoover and know a guy who knew Chris. I've only encountered Chris once at a bbq a few years back. He was a nice guy. Anyways, here's what the friend has to say about his suicide:

Chris was found hanging by a dog leash with his feet touching the floor. Earlier that day he had been talking to different friends about his son's upcoming baseball game and what time to meet at the field while also talking to another friend about starting football training for his other son. He was also very enthusiastic and energetic that day, and he spoke about his vacation that was coming up in 2 weeks. He watched a movie with his wife that night, and she went to bed earlier than him while he stayed up. She found him the next morning.
