Simple theory on the Pentagon's release of the GOFAST/FLIR/GIMBAL UFO videos
Post Body

We've probably all seen these videos before. They've been out for over a year now. No new information. So why did the Pentagon release them? The stated reason to the press was β€œto clear up any misconceptions by the public on whether or not the footage that has been circulating was real or whether or not there is more to the videos.” Ok seems like an odd thing for them to be concerned about.

So does this give us any additional clues about what these videos could be showing? Maybe.

1) Despite these being recorded with multimillion dollar state-of-the-art weapons system all we have are 3 fairly low resolution videos. Does the Pentagon not have the raw video at higher quality?

2) If the Pentagon doesn't know what these videos are showing us how do they know they aren't displaying advanced technology of foreign adversaries? Wouldn't they want that information to remain classified?

My interpretation of the release is:

1) Not likely this is advanced U.S. technology.

2) Not likely this is advanced foreign technology.

3) Not likely systematic errors.

4) The Pentagon wants us to think UFOs exist.

5) The Pentagon doesn't want to show us much detail of the alleged UFOs.

The low quality video is a red flag for me for the same reason it is when low quality video is submitted by UFOlogists. It seems like intentional misdirection. And in this case it's more glaring since certainly the U.S. government has a much bigger budget and much better video production capabilities. Why would the government want us to think UFOs are real? The only answer that makes sense to me is to build public support for weapons/systems technology capable of intercepting/combatting/copying technology with the displayed flight characteristics. This support could function as justification for an enormous increase in spending. With the popularity of regime change wars waning, perhaps this is a no-kill method for off-setting funds that maybe would otherwise stop being earmarked for defense contractors. That seems like the simplest "follow the money" basic explanation that's consistent with all the information we have so far.
