Gym Towels

I have this theory that towels at your local gym are smaller than the ones at your house not because they're cheaper to buy &launder, but something much more nefarious -they want you to think you're much fatter than you are! That way, you keep coming back to the gym more and more.
Eventually we will all get so skinny and they will need to continue shrinking towel sizes as a result until we're just handed washclothes.
