Really hard decision to make about consoles, please help!
Post Body

Hi guys,

I am in a huge conundrum. I am finishing my residency interviews soon (by late January) and currently only have a old Macbook air for gaming and 3DS XL (basically I'm only playing chess right now lol, can't even run League of Legends on my labtop).

I have a huge stretch of free time between late January and June for unlimited gaming and was wondering if it was worth getting an XBX or PS4 or Switch because I love gaming, particularly shooters like COD and battlefield (I love Cod Mobile and those shooters when I had the chance to play on my friend's Xbox in the past, I am very competitive and love MULTIplayer).

Should I consider getting a console? My main concern with XBX/PS4 is that there are scheduled new consoles basically next year around holidays so I'm spending a ton of money on a console that is going to be replaced with better ones and I am not sure my XBX/PS4 can compete with Xbox Scarlett/PS5 when it comes to multiplayer. I know I won't play any games past June because residency starts then and my life will be living hell, so is it worth getting a console?

Switch seems cool and not going to be replaced anytime soon but I don't see COD or BF on them and it seems more for kids/teenagers.

Also I don't have TV or Wifi in my apartment so I will have to buy those well, I used to play chess in my local library. Any thoughts?
