A few weeks ago I posted about a switch that wouldn't turn on or take a charge. I got comments which really helped me figure out what was wrong.
1uF 10V 0805 MLCC Capacitor was shorted.
I tried to replace it but it didn't occur to me that :
1- I didn't have nearly enough experience to try that repair
2- I didn't have the right equipment either
The result is that I have :
1- bridged the 2 capacitors on the left
2- ripped a solder pad out
3- lost the capacitor above the one I was trying to replace
4- melted the latch of the connector on the right until it fell off.
I think I will keep trying to fix simpler things from now on. Any suggestions ?
