I run the trail counter program for the Waltham Land Trust, a local conservation organization in Massachusetts. We have one trail counter installed and have two more ready-to-go. We use the Trafx trail counter and the existing one is permanently installed in a metal box per their instructions.
My question for y'all: any suggestions on how to install the trail counters in a secure, yet temporary manner? The trailheads where the counters will go are located in a high-traffic, suburban area and we don't want people messing the counters. But we also plan on moving these at some point in the future.
Anyone with experience installing these with any hot tips?
Thanks!
