Is a biological brain a prerequisite for consciousness?
Post Body

Personally, I don’t think that just anything can become conscious. I believe consciousness, as we know it, is a phenomenon of incomprehensible complexity and intricate electrochemical interaction. I definitely lean towards consciousness being a more bio-centric phenomenon as in I believe there is something special about the biology and chemistry of conscious life forms on this planet. However, I am not totally closed off to the potential of non-biological forms attaining consciousness.

Comments

I think our sciences of the brain and the universe are too new to say, for now.
