Many people have tried to make a conlang without verbs. All have failed. Except for me! Let me introduce my newest creation Tonicese:
So there's no verbs but there are tense particles used, so for example:
Mika ta umen.
1S PST doctor
"I was a doctor."
Ok so how do you say something like "I see a doctor"? Easy, you just use the visuative, indicated with a prefix on the tense particle! For "institutionalize" you use the institutionalizitive.
Mika inuk-ta umen.
1S VIS-PST doctor
"I saw a doctor."
Aka a-ta mika.
3PL INSTITUTNLZ-PST 1S
"They institutionalized me."
I talked to some linguists but they wouldn't recognize my genius! Like at least give me a degree or something jeeez. I'm p sure it's DJP's fauls. He hates morphemes and just can't handle the fact that I use them. But he just wants them all for himself I know it. Chomsky's likely in on it too since I'm p sure this disproves UG.
