I was choosing moods for my language (with inflections) and I realized that the agent noun (which is a suffix or prefix in most languages) fits all the criteria for a mood. I mean maybe it doesn't express the attitude of the speaker, but we know that a lot of moods have to be used in certain grammatical context so they're not very optional sometimes.
The agent noun modifies a verb, and doesn't change its tense. So therefore could it be considered a mood? Since some languages like ancient Greek also consider things like a participle a mood, by the same logic, could this work? This is purely just for categorization purposes by the way. I would just like for my agent noun to neatly fit into a category instead of having to put it in some "suffixes" or "miscellaneous" boring category.
Thank you in advance!
