My wife and I recently separated. For parenting our younger kids, we’re taking turns weekly at the marital house until it sells. My step-daughter has been living on her own since she was 18, but has always been welcome and often stopped by and made herself at home.

Last week was my week at the house, I had dropped the younger kids off at their grandmas for the day and was doing some laundry. My stepdaughter said it’s fine and commented with a laugh that “now I know why mom’s been so bitchy since you broke up”… which turned me on even more.
