When I (then 24M) was deployed overseas in a staff role. I regularly had to reach out to other task forces via phone on classified lines. One such person I spoke with often was a young woman. Her team was always easy to work with.

For a whole week, both our teams were traveling. So we were alone in our offices on different bases...so we passed the time talking to each other. That talking quickly turned to flirting, which quickly turned to me asking her if she's been good...and she replied "what if I'm not?" And so I told her what would happen.

Eventually, we decided we probably shouldn't do this on a classified phone line, so we exchanged numbers. We texted every day, and talked on the phone occasionally. She was supposed to come to my base. We planned on meeting, just to hang out.

Eventually I came to my senses and cut things off. She understood. We both made it home without incident. I saw her on Facebook today and all of this came flooding in. Some regret about doing all this...and some regret about not going all the way.
