I'm 20 but I still suck my thumb to sleep.

I'm turning 21 on February 2022, but I still can hardly sleep when I don't get to suck my thumb. Sometimes when my energy's drained, I get to sleep without doing it, but I wake up with my thumb on my mouth. Sometimes it bothers me because who knows the amount of bacteria I consume because of it? Do I need to seek professional help or can I do something about it by myself?
