I let people help me
Post Body

In my field there aren’t many women. Maybe 8% of the total field to be precise. So whenever I’m at work there are times when men come up and ask if I need help with whatever I’m doing. To be completely honest, I usually let them help me. It makes them feel better about themselves helping a girl and it’s better than having them watch me do it and then swoop in to help when I’m not doing it “their way”. It’s probably sexist as hell and you can shame me for it all you want. But in the end, I know I can do stuff by myself and I don’t need to prove myself to the men in my field. If they wanna do stuff for me go right the fuck ahead.
