My girlfriend is going away for a week and I behave irrationally

It makes no sense but I go into a complete melt down when my gf goes away. I panic and seek out distraction. I effectively shut down waiting for her return and it’s frustrating and pathetic and I hate it. She hasn’t even left yet and I’ve already started.
It highlights how dependent I’ve become on her and why I need to work hard to change the internal dialogue. I miss her.
