When I was about 7 there was an old couple who would drive their pickup to field by our house to let their dogs run around there every evening.

One of their dogs bit me. The couple yelled at me for itand my parents didn't seem concerned at all. Just applied a bandage. A few days later I happened to find a small snake while their car was there and i threw it in the back of the car.

They didn't come back for about a month and I thought the worst may have happened. But then I saw the car park there and a much younger couple got out to take the dogs for a walk.

I never saw the old couple again and the younger one only brought the dogs there once a week. I never told anybody and it has haunted me for over 20 years.
