I met this guy on Reddit from a post I made and we got to talking and I liked him we seemed to have a decent amount and we were both the same age(26) but he lived in England and I lived in America. Anyways I told this other older lady that I know about this guy and she told me that I should FaceTime him to see if he’s legit. Seemed like decent advice plus the fact that his account on here randomly got deleted I decided to ask him if we could move to another app and video chat there. He seemed to agree and ask me which app I wanted to use. I told him WhatsApp, he said his phone was glitching so he couldn’t download the app. A little suspicious but I gave it time to be sure. He said he would try to download it the next day but he still wasn’t able to so he suggested we use discord since he has that. He told me he had to redownload the app. He got the app and he said he would message me there. Never happened and he kept messaging me on Reddit so I asked him why didn’t you message me on discord? I gave his my user and everything so he could. No response from this man so after some time passed I just told him that I don’t want to talk anymore because if he can’t show his face then I can’t trust him because he didn’t even send a picture of himself while I showed him what I looked like. This guy was a virgin so I imagine he probably felt insecure of his appearance but that doesn’t change the fact that we were talking about dating and you have to at least know what the person looks like to date them. He told me he was a redhead he worked out so he had some muscle but was also lean, and 5’11. Allegedly because for all I know this dude could be 400 hundred pounds, 50 years old with a wife and family. I have no problem with him being a virgin as I am also a virgin but the fact he wants to have a relationship and a family but he both doesn’t want to show his face online and he doesn’t go out much besides going to work and going to the gym it seems unlikely that he’ll find someone. So good luck to him, but I’m glad I brought up FaceTiming early so I don’t have to waste more time on some who won’t show their face.
