My best friend since junior high is married with 2 children, a house, runs his own busines, he does well for himself. I know his wife as well, we're all the same age group and went to the same school.
My friend has always been kind of a player, a dog when it came to women. He'd have sex with them and move on to the next one. Never had girlfriends as long as I remembered. Now he's married but he cheats on her. He expects me to keep my mouth shut and i definitely do. You don't speak on anyone's business that's not your concern. I won't say anything, but it does weigh on me. I don't like when people that cheat in relationships. Just break up if it's gotten to that point.
But seeing how he's married, the bread winner, he's got the upper hand in everything. I talk to him and he knows what's he's doing. Makes excuses about things at home or work stress. But it's like a sex addiction for him or something, he admitted that to me. Anyway, it just sits heavy on my mind, especially when Im around his family and his wife asks questions about his day and where he's been,, and he lies and I just have to sit there and keep a straight face. They're both good people and everyone has shortcomings, so I try not to judge. So it's just nice to get that crap off my chest. But this is the 3rd person Ive had to cover for when it came to lying to their wife. Are my loyalties blind? Should I just let it go, try to distance myself?
