A little with the background, I F 23, born in UAE and been raised here and back home 🇵🇰 alternately, had been in identity crisis for my liking. Till i got in a relationship with a girl, to which I firgured it was this side I was interested in.
Given the typical circumstances, we both knew that we cant be a real thing without either cutting off our families or moving countries.
Then through iur colleagues ans friends I came across rhis huy whi was somewhat expressive regarding his choices not into women. Long story short, I approached him first anonymously and then eventually explained the situation where a similar non-interactive marriage situation could establish between us. He after some time decided to get on and sent his family for my rishta.
I had prepped my family and things went smooth and I thought this might actually work out, being on cloud nine for this.
Everything was going good, till he decided to drop a bombshell on me that even tho he knew what sort of marriage it would he, he wanted to give his mother grandchildren, as it was her mother’s utmost desire to see them and all. I stood my ground as it was a clear no no for me but that dude won’t budge and neither take the proposal back.
In the end it was me who had to convince my family with so many bridges of lies to to abort this marriage before it takes place and in the end it was me, the ungrateful brat who walked out on such a good rishta for unreasonable reasons. My love life also got affected as this thing had stretched for like almost an year and now I have none of it left.
My question is, why men arent clear with their choices and intentions, like how could you wanna drag someone into something when they have clearly stated they are not for it.
