[no regrets] I'll start out by saying his name is not actually James and that the confession part is closer to the end so here TL;DR hes back locally and he needs a place to sleep so hes trying to mooch a bed of all of our brother/friends. first off sorry for the wall of text i took an aderall earlier so i was just writing shit down. I met James early November 2014 and we were somewhat friends, were both in the same fraternity, but he is/was into hardcore drugs. When I first met him he was only smoking pot and on a daily basis when I met him so i just figured "ok hes a pot head" no big deal right?.

well next semester starts and he starts getting into some heavier shit, acid, a bit of cocaine, and Heroin twice. i continue just thinking "well ok I can still understand, it's college, you can experiment a bit."

fast forward to march 2015. his parents found out about his drug problem and send him to rehab. he got better and still says that it was the best program he was in. he did that for 8 weeks. hes clean at this point and is living at his parents while he was in recovery. at this point he was fine and completely clean for like 3 months and was planning to return to a new college for the fall semester. until he hung out with one of his friends that used he got tempted and he ended up relapsing and started using again(mostly cocaine at this point).

he lost his chance at the new school because of this and he went to rehab on and off for the next 7-8 months(not completely sure we didnt talk at all in this time.) earlier this week he calls me up and says that hes in state because he just left another rehab facility that was an hour away from our campus. he asked if i wanted to hang out because he would be in the area for a while(at first he said he was gonna stay at his good friends dorm which was really good because she didn't use and would be upset with him if he did). I told him that i'd hang out but its almost finals week so ill be busy. we didnt do much when he was here the first day because i had already planned to do stuff that night.

after the first night I found out that he got into a fight with the person he was staying with because she was mad when she found out he left rehab early.(at this point he has been clean for 5 days) He ended up staying with our newer fraternity brothers that are freshman. so they are nice enough to let him stay the night even though they have known him for only a day. One of the people that live in the room(we'll call him Dan) he stayed in can get impatient with someone if they get on his nerves so at this point hes already annoyed because James wants to continue to sleep there because there are only so many people that he still knows on the campus.

night two on campus he hooks up with a girl and sleeps there. at this point whenever he hangs out with me or anyone else he will only talk about the girls he has, A made out with, B hooked up with, or C would hook up with. this is when i start getting annoyed by him because I am not the kind of person that only talks about sex and he is so it gets repetitive and annoying. night three he stays in the first 3 brothers rooms again. Dan has had enough of him at this point and formulates a plan to try and make it so that James will essential crash in someone else's dorm.

the final night, which was tonight, he was more or less locked out of Dan's room. Him and one of his other roommates just told James that Dan was hooking up with a chick for the night. this night ends in him asking if he can sleep on my couch. i would've made an excuse but he saw me walking back to my dorm and i couldn't really avoid it. now hes on my couch and snoring as loud as an elephant.

I personally wouldn't mind if i knew it was only for one night but he said hes gonna stick around at least until next year. i know that i dont owe him anything and i know already that hes gonna try and guilt trip me into letting him stay until i leave for summer. sorry for rant just need to say this.
